Now owned by Jeremy Bull, his great grandfather George Power opened for business as a manufacturing upholsterer in 1897 at 39 Coronet Street, near to Hoxton Square in Shoreditch, London. Then it was a hub of the British furniture trade, with hundreds of specialist manufacturers and artisans crammed into all manner of workspaces. Today it has become the heart of a vibrant, creative area of cutting-edge design and style.
Upholsterers and cabinet makers would make-to-order for retailers, who would often sell pieces badged under their own names. Jeremy Bull & Co is carrying on this artisan tradition of excellence, now from their Hertfordshire workshop.
